Tartex is a brand of Allos Hof-Manufaktur GmbH, an organisation domiciled in Germany and part of Wessanen (Netherlands) which has subsidiaries in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and United Kingdom. At Wessanen we take data privacy seriously and are committed to protect your personal data being transparent about how we collect and process your personal data.

At Tartex we respect your right with regards to data privacy and data protection. As consumer we process different kinds of personal information for different purposes.

If you signed up for one of our newsletters, marketing campaigns or competitions we will process personal information you provided directly to us in order to execute the services. If you provide your personal details through social media, we will use these as long as it is in line with the terms and conditions of our competition. We do not target children in our marketing initiatives.
▼ ► ii. On what basis?
We only store personal information from consumers for newsletters and participation in competitions with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by following the instructions in our communications or via a direct email. In case you participate in our surveys, we might use a third party tool to send out the survey and collect the findings. In case we do, it will be stipulated in the survey T&C.

If (you fill in the contact form on our website, or if you) send us an unsolicited e-mail, then we will store your information as long as necessary depending on the nature and the content thereof, to ensure that we can fully answer and process your communication. (Our online contact form will ask you to fill in your contact details and a comment section.) In case you file a complaint we will respond and investigate your case based on legal obligations. In case you give us feedback or pose a question we will respond accordingly to handle your case and maintain customer and consumer relations (which is in our legitimate interest). In case you provide medical data to us in the comment section/e-mail, we will only use this to handle and process your communication and take necessary follow-up actions. This could involve answering your question, responding to your feedback and handling your compliant, or keep it in case of legal actions. In case you approach us on social media with your question, feedback or complaint, we will respond initially, but kindly request you to use the proper channel for communication.

At we have a legitimate interest to handle your questions and feedback in order to improve our consumer and customer relations. Next to that, we also anonymize your data before conducting statistics and management reports, so that we can learn from your input, and improve our products and service accordingly. In the case of handling complaints, we are legally obliged to investigate and handle your complaint and might store them longer in order to defend ourselves in lawsuits.

If you are a business customer or supplier we process personal information which you have provided directly to us. We store your name, email address and phone number in CRM systems for the general administration, management of purchases, deliveries, invoicing as well as handling complaints regarding our products and deliveries. If you visit our premises, you might be subject to our surveillance cameras for security purposes.

At Tartex, we collect and process personal data of customers and suppliers in order to fulfil our mutual contract. Furthermore, we might collect and store this data for legitimate interest in order to communicate with each other and ensure that we can continue doing business. We might send you newsletters and direct marketing regarding similar products to the ones you have purchased already based on legitimate interests.

Tartex is a group of organisations. Your personal information may be shared with other legal entities part of Allos Hof-Manufaktur.

We use third parties to provide services for some of our activities. Some examples of these third parties are software providers, external call centres, website hosting companies, etc.
Tartex will only disclose your personal information to third parties with whom we have a processing agreement or that have agreed in writing to provide an adequate level of protection.

Finally, we might provide your personal data to third parties (i.e. government organisations), if there is a legal obligation under European law or EU Member state law to do so.

At Tartex, we maintain appropriate administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to help safeguard the confidentiality, availability and integrity of your personal information and to protect it against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorised alteration, disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unlawful form of processing of the personal information in its possession. In line with data protection laws and internal Tartex policies, Tartex addresses security at all appropriate technology infrastructure points.
Tartex trains employees regarding its data privacy policies and procedures and only permits authorized employees to access your personal information on a need-to-know basis, as required for their function.

European data protection law prohibits the transfer of personal information outside the European
Economic Area ("EEA") unless specific requirements are met for the protection of that personal

the Tartex network, such as to our service providers, we enter into 'model clause' data transfer agreements or rely on some other approved data transfer method to ensure adequacy.
The following are examples of where and how your information may be transferred, but please note this is not an exhaustive list and that due to ongoing changes in our IT and operational infrastructure this may change at any time: Use of Microsoft and Skype Business for communication and use of SaaS solutions which are stored in the cloud (SAP).

Tartex will store your information in line with retention periods as defined by applicable law. We will retain your personal information for only as long as appropriate to fulfil the purposes for which Wessanen collected that personal information or as long as a legal basis exists.
