Production

Tartex spreads are packaged carefully

Uncompromising quality controls and modern manufacturing processes ensure that valuable vitamins and full flavour are retained. Nutrient-preserving technologies keep the natural flavour and ensure impressive freshness and shelf life – even without artificial additives.

Incoming goods

All raw materials are carefully assessed at the Tartex laboratory upon delivery. Only flawless items can be approved for production. Using state-of-the-art data processing in the quality controls, we can trace the origin of any raw material in any Tartex package.

Manufacturing the spreads

Tartex offers a wide variety of delicious spreads. Sophisticated recipes are used to manufacture all types. Based on these recipes, the necessary ingredients are selected, weighed and mixed into a spread in a large recipient. This spread compound is poured into tin cans – or tubes, jars or plastic containers depending on the spread – and placed in sterilisation containers.

Preservation

The sterilisation containers are initially heated in the autoclave (sterilisation pressure vessel) and then cooled. This preserves the Tartex spreads.

Labelling

Each pastry is given the relevant label with the help of modern packaging equipment in the Tartex factory. Incorrectly labelled products are separated out using a camera system.

Ripening/maturation

Since quality also needs time, our Tartex spreads take a several-week break after production. It is not until this time that the high-quality raw materials develop into a unique taste sensation, and the spread is given its characteristic consistency. The incomparable Tartex glaze is the result.

Delivery

Tartex pastries are shipped to our customers in protective cardboard boxes. The quality of each batch is checked once more before the products are delivered. Only products with flawless quality are delivered to our sales points in health-food shops and the natural foods industry.
